census. This has driven down the prices of houses dramatically. Since both towns still have all the basic ammenities, are cleaner now, and are recovering, they are great places to retire to, or to move to if you have an internet or other non-location-based business. The economic situation is the primary reason you can buy a cheap house in many parts of the country. These are towns that have seen troubled times, but are often recovering, and with good reasons.
Anaconda, an example we know well, now has a ski resort, a Jack Nicholas golf course, and beautiful scenery. The houses cost four times as much if you go an hour in any direction, and those higher prices are will reach Anaconda eventually.
We looked up the deserted street as we ate, and noticed that most of the buildings were boarded-up. This town was (is) clearly dying, and didn't have anything to help revive it. Inexpensive homes are easy to find here, but I wouldn't take one for free.
Population between 4,000 and 80,000. 2. A good library. 3. A good grocery store.
4. A movie theatre. 5. Cheap houses: at least six for sale under $50,000.6. The town "feels" good. When we researched and built our website, we broke the towns up into two pages.
One is for the towns with houses for sale for less than $50,000. The other is for the towns with really cheap homes for sale - under $30,000! Yes, they are still out there. Using a phone and the internet, searching for your affordable dream home is easier than ever..
Steve Gillman and his wife Ana Blum traveled the country exploring beautiful towns that still have affordable homes for sale. The result of their research, and their experience buying their own $17,500 - dream home, is the website: www.HousesUnderFiftyThousand.comDVD Recorders: Getting Started
IMO, these sd work 'like a VCR' as far as recording and playback. There are models w/ harddrives, VHS players, etc. built in, but to me that's overboard.Bells and WhistlesThe VHS option is not bad, but you most likely already have one you can plug into the inputs of the DVD recorder.I have a DVD recorder for archiving TiVo shows as opposed to accessing my TiVo from my PC. This is nice because it means I can also archive VHS tapes, camcorder tapes, etc. w/no extra work.I do have a TV card in my PC so I can do this, but using the DVD recorder is easier. My motto is: buy what you WILL use and not what you CAN use.I've bought lots of things that CAN do a lot, but in reality I don't use all the extra features.
Not in all cases, but in this case, I say pass on the bells and whistles.Again, there are models w/ all types of features, but if you buy one that is a DVR, DVD recorder, VCR, TV tuner all in one and one part breaks, it's all broke.Realize Something About TechnologyRemember -...

The Coach Purse, the Better Purse
Before getting my first Coach purse a few years ago I would use nothing but cheap bags I found at discount department stores. When I decided to finally splurge on something better it was only because I was going to be at a formal event and needed something that was practical but still looked classy. The Coach purse that I bought was stylish and went well with the dress I was wearing and in the end it all made me look and feel great.
Once I used my Coach purse that night I began looking for other excuses to take it out with me because it got so many compliments. Eventually I began taking it with me everywhere sometimes even dressing up to match the accessory instead of the other way around. Not only was the purse as good as any other in terms of being roomy easy to organize but I found that it outlasted any other handbag I ever owned.
In the past I would replace my handbags all the...

Ninety Percent of Business Cards Get Dumped Because of Poor Planning
Springfield, MO (ContentDesk) September 1, 2004 -- Many entrepreneurs waste money on poorly designed business cards and as a result, 90 percent of them get dumped. That's according to Chris Brunner, President of GreatFX Business Cards (http://www.greatfxbusinesscards.com), who has just published a free guide, "Unforgettable
Business Cards," to stop the waste and help businesses use their cards to generate more profits."Most business cards are designed with little thought and handed out with little thought. It's hardly surprising then that many are discarded without a second thought," says Brunner.
"Contact information alone doesn't make your card memorable or desirable. You've got to add some marketing sparkle to your cards so that people will remember you and want to do business with you." Brunner believes that a well-designed business card with a strong business message, when handed out appropriately,...
1000tags.com, a New Trend in Advertising that Delivers Results
Sunnyvale, CA (ContentDesk) January 14, 2006 -- 1000Tags is different enough from MillionDollarHomePage that is no wonder that in barely three days since it was launched is already collecting great success, great reviews and yes, lots of visitors. They call it "the first commercial tag cloud". And thats exactly what it is. You can purchase a tag, pay by the character and font size, and expect a lot of traffic to your site as a result. If you're not familiar with "tags" and "folksonomies", they are the hottest thing on the web when it comes to label and find information, and the proof is the quick raise that 1000tags has gotten in such short period of time.
In short, tags are like keywords but slightly different. For a better explanation, visit 1000tags.com, read their FAQ and see for yourself. The goal of the site is to sell up to 1,000 tags, and they've sold up over 150 tags already, so they surely are going fast. At 1000tags.com, tags can be exclusive (once purchased, nobody...

BUDGETING YOUR LOG HOME: Creating a checklist
If you've read my first article, BUDGETING YOUR LOG HOME: Where do you start?, you've got a very basic overview of the process. However, there are still a number of questions I'd like to address. Again, many of these questions will come up if you build any custom home, but I'd venture to guess the log home owners find themselves deeper in the decision-making process than someone dealing with a custom builder. After all, the differences become apparent immediately as the owners have to find their...
